Each month RCBN is highlighting projects illustrating the Rotary International theme. October is Vocational Service Month and each week in October we will publish a brief story about one of our Vocational Service projects.  Two years ago we introduced our Vocational Excellence Awards to honour people in our community who have given outstanding service in their workplace and wider.

The Award is for a person, or people, who have shown excellence in their vocation. The need to pursue and strive for vocational excellence will be demonstrated through a proven record of dedication to a specific vocation, which is resulting in benefits to the community.  The person will have achieved considerably above the norm and be recognised as a leader in their field or someone who has made an outstanding contribution.

Award nominations, which may be made by anyone in Bayside, close each year on 30 November. The award is presented at a Presentation Dinner in February at The Royal Brighton Yacht Club. More than one award may be presented.
