MS Australia says Thankyou
MS Australia 24 Hour Megaswim Marketing Manager , Mark Sims and his wife Becky were guests at the RCBN meeting on Wednesday 8th December. At the meeting, Mark presented the club with a plaque of Appreciation, for the inaugural MS 24 Hour Megaswim run by our club in July.
The total sum raised for “Go For Gold “ Scholarships for people living with MS was $28,000, the highest sum of money raised by an inaugural swim event in the 10 years of its activity.
In presenting the plaque to Sue Jones, Mark told the club that this event is the fastest growing charity event in Australia, with 35 Megaswims to be held in 2011. Our club is currently negotiating with a couple of local swimming pools to run its second event, in the middle of 2011.
