An update on Club matters for all.

Thank you to scribe Sue Jones

Chair for the evening – Kay Phillips
International Report – our club will participate in the recovery efforts in the Philippines in due course, once things have settled down and resources can be safely executed.  A similar disaster has happened in Somalia in recent days, with little press coverage.
Youth Report – the RYLA camp will be held on a couple of weeks.  The Bayside Summer Festival organizers are not particularly forthcoming with communicating what our role/assistance requirements are.
Fundraising Report – the Brighton Golf Course Hole in One fundraising competition plans are progressing well.
Club Service Report – the Bayside Health Trail proposal, written by Pres. Russell has been submitted to Council.
Vocation Report – the BPS Reading Program has four weeks to run until the end of the year.  There is no reading on Wednesdays in that four week period.  There are three nominations for the Vocational Excellence awards, but a few more applicants would make the process more successful.
The DIK working bee visit was successful.  It will be repeated on Dec 3rd and members were encouraged to come along to the next half day session.
Marketing – the new RCBN website is to be rolled out imminently.
Almoners Report
– Mike Michelson is out of ICU but now in a High Dependency Unit, and his progress is slow.
